Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn was born in the United States. She is most famous for her role as Skyler in AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress for Drama Series 2013 & 2014. Other roles she has played include Jean Ward in The Practice as well as Martha Bullock from Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant as a child in Sante Fe New Mexico. After that, her family relocated to Ohio in the United States, where she nurtured her passion for the theatre. Theatre studies was in the theatre department at Northwestern University. A semester was taken in the British American Drama Academy. Anna spent a few seasons working in Chicago theater before transitioning to television and film. Anna was the first to get a major role as Arden as Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in 1992. As a guest-star, Anna appeared in Seinfeld and NYPD Blue. Then it wasn't until the late 1990s when she landed the role of The Practice. Martha Bullock played two full seasons of Deadwood that was shot between 2000 and 2001. She was cast as Skyler in Breaking Bad as Skyler, in the year 2008. Sully was also one of her roles. Gunn was a part of David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production produced by David Schwimmer. The actress starred as Numbered Days, which is a four-part audio show that premiered set in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered around the love story of Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their conflicted relationship and final break-up echoes the last years of Walter White's life.
