Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is an American-British musician and sitarist. She was awarded the British House of Commons' Shield, which is the youngest and the first female to receive it. Alongside nine Grammy nominations and nine Grammy nominations, she also became the first Indian-born musician to perform at the award ceremony. Anoushka Shankar is the hottest young star of sitar music. Indian sitar. She is Ravi Shankar's pupil, and the daughter of Ravi Shankar. She spent her childhood bouncing back and forth from London to New Delhi. When she arrived in New Delhi, she made her first appearance at only 13 years of age. She graduated in 1999 from her high school education in Encinitas CA. Her career as a recorder and performer is impressive, despite her young age. She regularly performs with her dad and has done so for a long time years. The year 1998 saw her released Anourag as her first single album. The album was titled Live at Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album two years following. She's performed in all major venues around the globe. Anoushka Shankar's professional life isn't restricted to just music. She released Bapi the Heart of My Life, in the year 2002. The book is a biography which pays tribute to her dad Ravi Shankar. In 2003, she was a Bharat natyam young dancer in Dance Like a Man. Her career continues to grow and she'll continue to do many great things in the future. Anoushka shankar is an English born singer who travelled her early days in London, Delhi and California. When she was 9 she began her studies in music with her father. The first time she performed on the sitar came in her 75th birthday celebration in Delhi just four years later. As a part of her dad's band as they toured around the globe, Anoushka racked up a wealth of experience performing in Carnegie Hall while still in her teens performing at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festival as well as performing alongside George Harrison. She was the youngest and sole female recipient of the House of Commons Shield awarded by British Parliament in recognition of her musicianship and talent as an outstanding musician from music in Asian Arts.
