Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor, popular for his role in the well-known television series 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. His interest in acting began when he was in college. He completed his acting studies at University of Colorado at Boulder. His television characters have earned him plenty of popularity. There is no doubt that the actor has managed to grab people's attention with his characters on both sides of the law. He was the serial killer role in his first television project as well as later portrayed as an NYPD detective. In recognition of his performance in the small screen, he's been nominated several times for the prestigious Emmy Awards. He is known for his blue piercing eyes, which have become an iconic feature and have helped to portray tough characters with charisma. He was featured in 2006 when he was featured on People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
